2005 was the birthday of our organization and much of our efforts has been put into setting up the legal structure of the foundation. We are thankful that we have met all our legal requirements and have been granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS. Now we can focus on helping people. Your donation is now 100 percent legally tax deductible.
To date we are helping many children in Luzon. Luzon is one of the largest islands of the Philippines; it is where the city of manila is located.
We are currently working with two (2) missionaries and funding outreach programs weekly in the following cities of Luzon: Tagaytay, Quezon, Santa Rosa and Pila. The outreach programs are reaching out to poor children who need help. You can watch how our missionaries conduct an outreach by clicking here.
One of our recent heart touching projects was the Mangyan mission outreach. Our missionaries traveled by land and sea to reach an island called Mindoro. The journey took them through some rough hilly terrain; they traveled for 8 hours and had to walk across a small river and then trek up the foot of a mountain to reach the settlement of the Mangyan village.
They went there prepared; they gave clothing, shoes, sanitary goods, and food to these poor deprived children in the village. When they got there they found the need was great. A lot of children where without clothes and the other children where mostly wearing dirty clothes that didn’t fit them. Many of the children where malnourished and some needed medical attention.
The missionaries gave away all they had; they put clothes on the naked children. They spent time teaching the children in there local school and gave the children learning materials, pencils, pens, tooth brushes, toothpaste and a snack. The missionaries gave the children hope, telling them the good news about salvation through Jesus Christ. All the children responded to this message by showing a sign of hands as they prayed the salvation prayer.
The trip was a success and another trip is planed for December. We would like to assign a permanent missionary to Mindoro in order to give towards the needs of these children on a continual basis. This can only be possible if funding becomes available, for now we plan on giving Christmas gifts to these children when our missionaries return in December, we hope that people will have compassion to fund our work so we can do more.
These outreaches are only possible because of the good hearted people who fund our organization, and because of the love our missionaries have for people. There are many more missionaries we want to network with in order to expand and reach more children with continual help. Please have compassion for these people in the Philippines; you can make a huge difference in their lives. Please help by becoming our partners or by donating the best gift you can.
Check this page often as we will always update this page and our newsletter with what we have accomplished with the dollars our donors have provided. If you took part in our organization we want you to know how thankful we are that you care. Working together we can make a difference!
